Human Rights

This week we will break into committees and write letters to politicians and activist groups to address human rights issues. We’ll focus on cleaning up New Orleans. Letter-writing is a great way to make a difference, especially if you felt frustrated by the Hurricane Katrina-related human rights violations we discussed.

Human Rights

Father Roy Bourgeois spoke at the Handwerker Gallery discussing the current situation in Honduras and other human rights issues. He founded School of the Americas Watch, which is a human rights group that organizes the annual Schools of the Americas Watch protest.
